Dry Skin On Face is a physical condition that affects millions of people on a daily basis. Its effects range from mildly annoying to downright painful. It’s a problem that can readily be resolved, but there are certain facts you need to be aware of before you go out and throw away your hard earned money. This article reveals what to buy and what to avoid in a dry skin on face product.

Be Aware: The human skin absorbs approximately 60% of what is placed on it.

The first thing you should ask yourself when buying products for your dry skin is this: Are they completely natural? In order to find the most natural products for your skin and your health, you need to become a sleuth on ingredients. Be aware of what you are putting on your skin. It’s even better if it’s organic. Remember, what you put on your skin will end up in your bloodstream. Something to think about.

Be Aware: Only 11% of ingredients in skin care products are tested for safety.

Second, take some time to learn what you should avoid putting on your skin. This goes along with the first point, but is just as important. Specific ingredients in skin care products are controversial and should be avoided for your personal care and safety. Parabens are used for preserving a products shelf life but have been shown to have hormone-disrupting effects and possibly cause cancer. Ureas, another chemical preservative, have the potential to release formaldehyde into your system and cause contact dermatitis. 1,4 Dioxane is a chemical carcinogen that is created during the processing of certain petroleum based ingredients. Other ingredients to avoid would be: synthetic fragrances, sulfates, chemical sunscreens, synthetic colors, nanos, and petrochemicals (ingredients derived during the processing of crude oil, such as mineral oil).

Third, be aware of skin care products that contain any type of alcohol. Isopropyl alcohol, benzoyl alcohol, ethanol, ethyl alcohol, methanol, or SD alcohol. These are anti-moisturizing and harmful and can strip the skin’s natural acids away. Encouraging bacteria, viruses, and mold as well as unnecessary skin aging. If Dry Skin On Face is an issue, moisturizing products containing alcohol will not be helpful.

Finally, think twice before you spend tons of money on those moisturizing products you see in the magazines or at your local mall. Studies have shown that the skin care companies spend far more on advertising than they do on quality ingredients. In fact, their labels can be downright decieving. Putting a minimal or non-beneficial amount of certain ingredients into their products, just so they can highlight them on the label. Don’t fall for the hype!
