Suffering from acne can be very embarrassing, making you feel self-conscious and constantly on the hunt for the best acne treatment.

If you are suffering from acne it is important to pay a visit to your physician. It is a good idea to do this, as sometimes what you think is acne may be another skin condition such as eczema and psoriasis. Experts think that prevention is better than cure, and that by eating a healthy diet and drinking a large quantity of water each day, together with using a cleansing soap is the best way toprevent acne.

Acne spreads through bacteria and some believe that if you keep this under control then your acne will be contained and can then be treated. It is important to read the instructions on the cleanser you are using and to clean your skin gently.A harsh cleanser can cause damage to your skin it is important not to scrub hard otherwise you will make you acne worse. 

You should never pick at the acne spots or squeeze those zits and pimples, and keep your hands away from the area. Bacteria will spread if you touch your spots with your hands, and may lead to an infection. The best rule of thumb is to look but better not touch those spots.
