What Should I Look For When Choosing An Organic Skin Care Product? There Are So Many.?

  • Sharebar

I just started using a new line of skin care from Bonita Botanicals. I never tired organic skin care before. I just love it. I really noticed a difference in my skin. I just happened to try a sample provided at a fair I went to. There are so many products out there. How do you choose?

I personally prefer to buy products that are:
paraben free: parabens have been linked to certain cancers
plant-based, petroleum free: do you really want to smear the same thing you put in your car on your face?
cruelty free: animals don’t have to suffer for me to be pretty
    and that smell good.
Also, google the brands you’re looking at if you really want to get into it and see who owns the brand. A lot of brands are owned by really nasty companies. For example, Phillip Morris, the tobacco giant, owns Kraft and Boca Burger. If they spent so much time and money trying to convince people that smoking was safe, they have *no* credibility in my mind. After all, you can’t test what’s in the product so you have to trust the company to label it correctly.
Good choice, and remember the most expensive isn’t always the best. I like Avalon Organics, Jason, and Dr. Bonner’s Soap.
