Why Green Tea is Essential to Skin Care

  • Sharebar

Green tea is great for your health. This is a fact. In fact, in a recent study, a researcher exposed hundreds of minnows to highly radioactive substances. They all should have died of cancer in days. But, they didn’t die. What was the reason they survived? Instead of water in their tank, they had green tea.

Inundating minnows with x-rays may not sound so great to you. It is likely that not many people do. However, you have to like the results. This makes me want to immerse myself in green tea.

More and more people are becoming aware of the restorative powers of green tea. Because of this there are products containing green tea literally flooding the marketplace. You can buy candy, soda or coffee that contain green tea. That is just in addition to the many green tea blends that are available for consumption.

However, despite the green tea mania, one area has not gone green tea crazy. That would be in the arena of skin care. Manufacturers seem to be all talk and no action. What people aren’t aware of is that what makes green tea excellent for you body also makes it perfect for your skin.

There are tons of antioxidants in green tea. When you drink it, the antioxidants will do many things, like boosting your immune system. Those antioxidants will start working right away when rubbed on your face.

Anti-oxidants are so good for your face and skin. For example, they will fight off free radicals. These free radicals are molecules that are in the air and will assault your skin causing wrinkles. Free radicals have even been known to cause skin cancer.

But, green tea skin care can do much more. Green tea extracts will regenerate your skin. They ease inflammation and smooth out discolorations caused by the environment or using the wrong skin care products. You will be doing yourself a favor by adding a green tea product to your skincare regimen. No matter what product you choose that contains green tea, you will be very happy that you made it a priority in your daily skin care.
